Procedure for licensing IIT Delhi’s technologies:
Step 1: Identify and assess the technology from different sources.

- List of recently filed IP
- Open IP
- Copyright Licensing
- IIT Delhi’s Website
Step 2: Query regarding technology: Mail us (Non confidential information will be shared)

Once the technology has been identified you should contact the licensing team at the above given email address who will resolve your queries and provide the information required for evaluating the technology.
Step 3: Need additional Technical information: Sign NDA
Write to us for additional technical and scientific details information or for setting up a meeting or call with inventor. At this stage you would need to execute an NDA.
Step 4: Submit License Application
After deciding to pursue a technology for licensing you will be asked to submit the letter of intent on company’s letter head and a license application for patented technology or open IP or copyright.
Step 5: Assessment of application by FITT.
Once the license application is received at our end, FITT will do a quick assessment and revert.
Step 6: Sharing of term sheet
For the Licensing of technologies from the compendium and Copyright, after the assessment, FITT will propose a term sheet to company

Execution of license agreement enables the company to make and develop the technology. We want to assure you that our relationship with you is mutually beneficial as we partner in your commercialization efforts.
